Q: At what age does Plumfield begin accepting
children?
A:
Children are accepted at the age of 2 years, 6
months.
Q: Are children required
to be potty trained?
A:
Children must have started the potty training
process, using the toilet with assistance.
A “potty training fee” of $5 per week is added to any
child using pull-ups or not independently using the toilet.
Q: What are the hours of
operation?
A:
The school is open from 7:00a.m. to
6:00p.m., Monday –
Friday. Please check the
calendar for a list of holidays that Plumfield
observes.
Q: Does Plumfield discount for siblings?
A:
Yes, a 10% discount is offered on the second
child if both children are enrolled 5 days per week.
Q: Does Plumfield provide
lunch?
A:
Plumfield provides morning and afternoon snack.
Parents provide the child’s lunch.
Q: What are the
weekly/monthly rates?
A:
Please refer to our

Q: What is the registration fee?
A: A one
time non-refundable enrollment fee of $100 is due at the time of
registration. If the child is
enrolling in Kindergarten, an additional $100 materials fee is
due, for a total of $200.
Q: Does Plumfield accept state funding as
payment?
A: Yes, we
accept CalWorks, CHS and Board of Education payments.
It is the parents responsibility to obtain this funding.

located?

Plumfield is located at the corner of
Santa Clara and Tustin Avenues in
Santa Ana, on the border of Santa
Ana,
Tustin and
Orange.

A: There
are no more than 12 children per teacher in a class.
Q: How are children placed in a class?
A:
Children are placed in classes based on chronological age.
Consideration is also given to the child’s development
level.
Q: What is Plumfield’s
capacity?
A:
Plumfield is licensed for 70 preschool children per day.
Q: What are the teacher qualifications?
A: All
teachers have completed a minimum of 12 units of Early Childhood
Education courses. They have also
been fingerprinted and have cleared background checks with the
Criminal Abuse Index and the Department of Justice.
Q: How long has Plumfield
been in operation?
A:
Plumfield has been in operation since 1972.
Kim Cordoba, the current owner/director (and former
student 1979-1983), has been operating the school since 2006.
